the king thought that if anybody dies then the person who killed will be the culprit whatever the offense the dead person would have performed.he feels that the merchant has done the offense by putting such a weak wall which killed the thief. the king also shows his foolishness by telling that the merchant is too him this bring a fat person who can fit in that execution.
