Fowler was a young and romantic writer who had read about the life of secret agents and was curious to discover them.Fowler wanted to meet Ausable to cover him up for writing. He imagined that he would be thrilled when he will meet the secret agent. But he was disappointed because he saw him on an outmoded and prosaic fashion. However, he had his first authentic thrill of the day when he came across the room, Max was pointing his gun towards them in the Ausable's room as they opened the door, and switched on the light. Fowler found Max demanding certain important papers on missiles. He threatened Ausable that he will kill him. Ausable handled Max tactfully by telling him the story of the balcony which wasn't even exist. In that very moment , there was a knocking at the door. Ausable thus getting a golden opportunity mislead Max by saying that it was the police which he called to arrest Max. Meanwhile, Max jumped into the balcony and screamed once shrilly

Explanation:

Ausable is a secret agent. He happens to spend an evening with Fowler who is a writer. At first, Fowler gets so excited about spending time with a secret agent but he gets bored with Ausable.

Ausable wanted to prove Fowler wrong. Fowler changes his mind when he witnesses Ausable’s intelligent sense of mind in getting rid and passing the shackles of a dangerous situation.

Max, who wanted to steal the reports of a case threatens Ausable with his gun to submit the reports. Ausable starts using his mind. When someone knocked on the door, he says that it must the police whose he is supposed to submit the reports to. Max runs into the balcony and threatens Ausable to tell the police to go away. But when the door opens, Max jumps out of the window with fear.

It was the wine ordered by Ausable at the door. There were no policemen. It was the game played by Ausable to get rid of the dangerous situation.

So then, Fowler’s opinion on Ausable and on being a secret agent changes
