The motive of the frog behind killing the nightangale is that from the day when the nightingale come in the bog she was become best singer of the bog and no one other creature like the voice of the frog also all appreciate the vioce of the nightingle and want to listen the songs as well as the voice of nightingale only.

Before the advent of the nightingale, the frog was the self-proclaimed universal King of the big and all the other animals had no other choice but to listen to his cacophonous singing. Once the nightingale arrived and started singing all the animals were attracted to her voice and listened to her willingly, this enraged the frog as he was no longer the universal King of the bog. So when he found out that the nightingale could easily be manipulated he exploited her gulliblity and ruined her voice slowly by giving her bad training on purpose thus killing on one fine day.

From this we can see that the frog's intention in killing the nightingale was to eliminate competition and regain his title back.
