Gangadhar Pant was experiencing the phenomenon of being in a different world. In that different world he experienced a different history. He saw a different Bombay. After taking a frugal meal, he went for a stroll in the Azad Maidan; there he saw a lecture going on. He noticed the chairperson’s chair to be empty. As he climbed the stage to argue in favor of the chair, he was involved with an argument with the spectators. Finally, he was thrown off stage by the crowd.

This throw brought him out of the different world. He was in his own world where everything was normal.

Hey mate!!

Gangadhar Pant experienced a unique phenomenon while on the way to Bombay. The Bombay Gangadharpant saw in different world was quite different. As the train stopped at Victoria Terminus, he found the station to be extremely neat and clean; the blue coaches of the train carried GBMR, “Greater Bombay Metropolitan Railway”. The working staff consisted of Anglo-Indians and a few British officers.

As he came out of the station he saw the Headquarters of East India Company; while walking on Hornby Road, he saw buildings of British brands, such as Boots and Woolworth departmental stores, imposing offices of Lloyds, Barclays and other British banks. The most startling thing was at the Forbes building where his son worked, he did not find him there.

The visit to Bombay was Professor Gaitonde’s adventure into different time and space through the door of his altered consciousness.

Hope this will helpful for you....
