Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar contributed a lot in field of social reforms. He was one of the Great people who take birth to influence society. Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar was one such personality, who was so humble but lived his entire life with determination and purpose to fulfill certain goals.

Mainly his contributions are educating and changing women's status in India. Also, he is protested against polygamy, child marriage, and supported to Indian widow remarriage. Due to his kindness, generosity and making donations, he was also known as "Daya-r Sagar" or "Karunar Sagar."
