What was 'Ivy Green' and why was it called so.

The Keller homestead, where Helen's family lived,  was a few steps from a little rose-bower. It was called 'Ivy Green' because the house and the surrounding trees were covered with beautiful English ivy. Its old fashioned garden was the paradise of Helen's childhood.
