What was life like under british rule in india?

In the starting and mid of 17th century, India was the one of the most richest country in the world. We have 23% of world economy and whole Europe gave only 23%. When the British saw the status of Indians they began to jealous because they think only Britishers have right to be rich and look handsome. So they started to loot India by all possible ways and methods. They gave us partition of Bengal in 1905 and ruins our culture and Hindu-Muslim unity. After 1857 the british rule started to destroy India faster and faster. There is no doubt that British had much stronger afmy than whole Indian kings but they used that to loot and rob us. So we can say that there was the worst time of India.
