The mother of Krishna is praised in the Damodarastakam, which is sung for the entire month of Kartik. The prayer praises the pastimes of Lord Krishna and His mother. Specifically it tells the story of Krishna getting caught stealing the butter and His Mother trying to bind Him. The rope she would use would always be too short until, because of her love for Him, He let her bind Him. This story, and other stories of Krishna's mother, can be found in the Shreemad Bhagavatam.
