In the plan of Mountbatten he said that the British will leave India before july1947.
This plan was sent in India to settle disputes between hindus and Muslims if posibble.
The plan was accepted by both the congress and league because they do not want any further roits in the country .And this also granting indians a dominion status.
Provisions of plan:
1 .The plan provided dominion status to India and it was divided in two dominion - India and Pakistan
2.The princely states were set free to take their decision.
3.The boundary commission was appointed to determine the boundaries for two.
