◾When Mrs.Dorling Met Mrs. S's Daughter for the first time , she didn't even recognize who she was . She failed to show any signs of recognition . Also, her behavior towards her was very Hostile . She didn't even ask her to come in .
◾The main reason for her hostile behavior was her greed . she did not wish to return her Mother's belongings back . Thus, she didn't recognize her intentionally.
◾She says " i Thought that no one had come back " . This was because the story is based on post as well as pre war times . The Narrator had returned after the war between Holland and Germany. Thus, she makes such comment.
