In a way Nehru had everything to do with the NAM(non-allignment movement).
He can be called one of its founding fathers and to an extent the brain behind it. After all NAM almost entirely accepted Panchsheel as the foundation of NAM - Panchsheel being the name given to Indian foreign policy that was influenced by Gandhian ideals and put in place by Nehru. To an extent its India’s foreign policy to this day.
The NAM could have been many things but it failed on many fronts. When it came to India, NAM failed India in condemning the Chinese invasion of India in 1962. Only Egypt vocally came out in support of India (Nehru and Nasser were pretty good friends).
