Objectives of Aligarh Movement:

Aligarh Movement was established to fulfill the following targets:

*To build confidence between the

government and the Muslims.

*To persuade the Muslims to acquire Modern knowledge and English language.

*To hold back the Muslim from the politics.

Aligarh Movement was initiated by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan.

Its most significant achievement was the establishment of Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College at Aligarh, which later became Aligarh Muslim University.
