It is a German word which means parliament buildings. It is also considered as lower chamber of legislature.
As a building it was an imperial diet under German Empire during Weimar Republic. But it was burnt in fire when Nazis were moving out in 1933.
Reichstag was a lower house in German legislature which was operational during Nazis period. It was established in 1919 to perform the activities of political parties.
