This act also gave right to Viceroy to suppress Media working.

◾It have the British extensive powers to arrest political leaders without any trial in the court for two years .

◾The Act ha d been hurriedly passed by the Imperial Legislative Council despite the collected Opposition by the Indian Member.

◾Indians were strongly Against the Unjust act .


◾Gandhi ji decided to launch A Nation Wide Satyagraha Against the Unjust act . This started off with a Hartal [ Strike ] on 6 April .
