Rowlatt Act➙ An Act was passed by the British government to give themselves greater power over the people of India.

Rowlatt act was an Act that were introduced in the Central Legislature in February , 1919 and the Act was passed on March the same year.

The Act allowed the Government to imprison any person without trial in court and without warranty.

This was done to curb the growing upsurge in the country.

The Rowlatt Act included :

1. Arrest of any person without any warrant .

2. Suspension of freedom of movements .

3. Right to habeas corpus suspension.

4. In camera trial .

How did Indians react to it ?
