•Rowlatt Act was passed in the year 1919. This act gave the British government of India to detain and imprison the nationalists and those against the government for two years without any trial

•This act was passed despite the united opposition of all the indian members in British imperial court. This outraged the Indians. They weren't against the colonial government's unjust rules

•Many people gathered to protest against the government's unjust laws in the Jallianwala Bagh, but soon General Dyer entered the place and blocked the entry&exit block and open fired, killing hundreds & injuring thousands.

•As this news spread, people in many north indian towns took to the roads for protesting.

Everything that signed the colonial government were attacked

•In return, the government responded with brutal repression bombing several towns and even women and children were brutally beaten
