This term is related to the agriculture and this type of cropping system dates back 100 of years.

In this system of cultivation the landlord come to an agreement and allow the peasant to grow crop or in exchange of some portion of the total production.

This kind of cultivation can be categorized in two ways; one is governed by the law and another in by tradition.
