1- it was constituted by the Tory government under sir John Simon

2- its main objective is to look into the functioning of india and make some changes

3- but the Indians opposed this commission bcoz in this commission the all were British not a single member of India was there in this commission

4- so, when when the Simon commission arrived in India in 1928 it was greeted with the slogan "go back Simon".
