Swadeshi means the goods manufactured in one's one country that is indeginous goods.
Foreign goods means the goods manufactured from foreign brought to india.
Swadeshi and boycott movement was a movement started in bengal formely but spread into the entire country.  Gandhiji asked people to use indeginous goods rather than foreign goods to give impetus to indian industries so that british industry may suffer a set back. It was done  ainly to counteracg the partition of bengal in 1905 by lord Curzon.  It was a very influential movement and even students and ladies boycotted schools colleges and houses and actively participated in it.
