Answer:

Swami Vivekananda saw india since vedic age during his 3 days meditation in Kanya Kumari. The past glory of India brought tears in his eyes.

In Bodhgaya, he had the vision of the Buddhist age of India and its glory was so mesmerizing that he became emotional while being in meditation.

In 1897, he predicted that, India will be free in next 50 years and freedom will appear in an unexpected manner. A huge war will flare up in 20th centuries years, and if the Western countries do not stop having materialistic approach towards the world, then another world war is inevitable.

In 1897, when even first world war wasn't initiated. India had no hope of being free in next 50 years. So at that time his prediction was regarded absurd, but when second world war took place, certain circumstances forced britishers to leave India and hence india got freedom exactly after 50 years.

He also predicted that “India, when independent, will adopt the materialism of the West and attain prosperity to such an extent that it will surpass its past records in that field”

He also said that “Western countries like America would become increasingly spiritual in nature because they will have realized from the height of material prosperity the simple truth that gross materialism cannot give eternal peace.”

He once told a group of journalists in the University of Michigan, “This is your century right now, but 21st century is India’s century. All the barbarians and murderers who ruled on us and looted our nation would come back to our Country to pay homage to our ancient sages and saints”.
