When poet felt lonely then he was walking towards group of daffodils then he felt much happier because daffodils are spritley dancing beneath a tree, beside a lake.

ans..

- I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud. That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd,

... And dances with the daffodils.

Answer: In stanzas two and three the poet compares the daffodils to the stars in the Milky Way and the waves in the lake. ...

But the daffodils outdo the waves in glee.

This means that the daffodils outdid the waves in pleasure, joy, and happiness.
