The another name of 'Quit India Movement' was Civil Disobedience Movement.

Gandhiji gave final blow to the Britishers on August 8 , 1942 by launching the Quit India Movement.

Within 24 hours , Gandhiji and all prominent Congress leaders were arrested. Gandhiji's mantra of Do or Die inspired thousands of people. The Britishers were infuriated. The police and army waged brutal terror on people.
