The constituent assembly tried to ensure that no authority can take away the fundamental rights of an Indian citizen. Article 12 and 13 ensured that we get legally enforceable fundamental rights which can be protected against laws of the state which violated any provisions of the fundamental rights. Many regulatory checks were placed so that no government used its powers in a arbitrary way.
