In northern Ireland having Christian communities: 57% were protestants while 43% were catholics. Catholics were poor and represented by nationalist party, who demanded that northern Ireland be unified with republic of Ireland, predominantly a Catholic country. Protestants were represented by unionist, who wanted remain in United Kingdom. In violent clashes many civilians, militants and security persons were killed until a peace treaty was signed

Overwhelmingly Protestants goal was to remain part of United Kingdoms,s o was of the unionistsAnd this goal of both,the nationalists and republicants,m ostly Catholic,m inority was to become part of Northern Ireland.M any people were found dead and injured in these troubles....!!
