Explanation:

Dobernier classified elements in the form of traids. (a set of three elements) on basis of atomic mass. he predicted that atomic weight of middle element is equal to a average of other 2 elements.

example: s, se, Te. (16th group elements).

Newland arranged elements in the order of increasing atomic weights. and says that every eight element has similar properties with first element.

it was worked up to 20 elements only.

Answer:

Dobereiner's triads were groups of elements with similar properties that were identified by the German chemist Johann Wolfgang Dobereiner. He observed that groups of three elements (triads) could be formed in which all the elements shared similar physical and chemical properties.
