It was a system in which farmers were forced to work for the moneylenders without any salaries for they had taken loans and the farmers could not repay it... ( in short it is labour without pay).

Beth Begari system was a type of system applied on tribals and meant 'forced labour'. Birsa Munda actively opposed him and we celebrate him because of his bravery.
