firstly guru whispers his whole plan to his disciple .Disciple understand after that they both quarrel to each other to put on stake first ..king was not able to understand their behaviour he ordered them to explain why they quareeled to each other ...then guru explain that the stake is the stake of justice ..no criminal had lied on it ...so who ever first lied on the stake will be reborn as a king and the second one will be the minister that is why the quareel to each other ...that is cause of argument between the guru and his disciple ...

there can be other cause

in biggining guru told his desciple to not to stay in the kingdom of fool ..but the desciple liked their way.. in the kingdom he get things which were coastly but they can take it in very low cost .so desciple wants to stay there ...

i hole it will help you ..
