THE MAIN CAUSE WAS THAT THE MODERATES WERE NOT INTERESTED TO BOYCOTT ANYONE..THEY JUST WANTED TO OVERTHROW THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT BY PHYSICAL FORCE..THATS WHY IT SPLIT AT SURAT IN 1908

The split between these two sections become outwards at the end of Banaras Session Congress (1905) Lokmanya Tilak and his followers held a seperate conference and declared the formetion of the eteremist party
