The British government decided to make the American colonies pay a large share of the war debt from the French and Indian War. Through the Sugar Act, Stamp Act, and other taxes.

➡the main causes of American revolution were :-

1) the founding of the colonies - as the Britishers were busy in founding colonies, people began to worry that they will lose their freedom.

2) the french and indian war took place between American colonies and new france , and which was a main cause for American revolution.

3)The colonists were not happy with the new taxes , and laws which were imposed on them by the Britishers . such as - sugar act, currency act ,stamp act....etc.

4)The British decided that the colonies needed to be punished for the Boston Tea Party , so they made many acts and laws for this regard.people called these acts intolerable acts and this finally led to American revolution.
