Printing culture was reinovated by use of half tone printing blocks by Upendrakishore Roy…. With printing being cheap… calligraphists lost their job…they got amulgamated into bengal's glorious history… copyright was introduced …so the authors were not devoid of their worthy values… more and more people got involved with education… leading to Bengal's renaissance… public opinion was expressed in newspaper… People got to know bout misdeeds of the British …Bengali intelligentsia who were alienated from revolt of 1857 got to know what was wrong and thus sympathised with Indigo farmers….thus with innovation of Printing culture Bengalees unfolded their blindfolding superstitions.

The changes brought about by the innovation of printing culture are as follows:
1. Print popularised the idea of enlightened thinkers. Their writings provided people a way of questioning the religious superstitions.
2. It did not shape the people's minds directly but it did open up the possibility of thinking differently.
3. Also, it was feared that if there was no control over what was printed and read, then rebellious ideas might spread, thus, destroying the 'valuable' literature.
4. It also led to the creation of a new world of debate and discussion.
