The little child in the Story THE LOST CHILD by Mulk Raj Anand ,was fascinated by various things and stuffs in the fair and wishes to have them but he moves on without waiting for an answer as he knew his parents won't get them for him..His parents (especially the father) gave a cold stare of refusal towards him....he assumed that his parents would say him greedy, and wasn't too young to have those stuffs ...
When the child pleaded to his parents to hear the snake charmer playing flute ..he half knew that his parents would forbidden him to hear such coarse music...so bearing his desires and without complaining the little child in the story moves ahead with an utter sense of agony...
