PLEASE MARK AS BRAINLIEST MY FRIEND PLEASE MARK IT BRO......

The armies of the Delhi Sultanates consisted of four types of soldiers.

1. First were the soldiers that were directly recruited as soldiers in the army of the Sultan.
2. The second category of soldiers was those who were employed on permanent basis by nobles and provincial governors. These soldiers were placed at the service of the Sultan whenever necessary.
3. The third category was those soldiers who were recruited only in times of war on temporary basis and were paid only for that period.
4. The last category were Muslim soldiers who joined the army as volunteers at times of war against the Hindu kingdoms. These soldiers considered such war to be holy war.
