"Guru Arjan dev Ji born on 15th day in April month of the year 1563, and he was the fifth guru among all the Sikh Gurus. For the development and further establishment of Sikhism, he told all the Sikhs to donate a tenth part of everyone's salary.

He had done many contributions to the community of Sikh as he laid the foundation of Golden Temple in Amritsar. He is known widely for compiling the hymns writing by all the past Gurus and which is the holiest scripture now known as Guru Granth Sahib.

In his creation, he included the compositions of both Hindu and Muslims saints, and considered that all the religions are equal. Mughal emperor Jahangir ordered to sentence him to death."
