Some of the thinkers were Voltaire, Rousseau, Montesquieu etc. They were visionaries. They spoke about ideals of human justice and democratic values. Ideas of freedom, equality , human rights , rational thinking etc were carried to the masses. These messages awakened the people resulting in a revolution.
