Answer:

The constituent assembly ensured that India had a system of checks and balance.

The executive is a select body of people that form the Govt. They have  enormous power and control in their hands. Thus, it is important to keep a check on them so they don't misuse their powers.

  • The constitution had made it so, that the parliament can catch hold of the executive and can hold them accountable for a bad decision.
  • Any bill proposed by the executive need to be passed by both the houses of Parliament and be signed by the president in order to become a law.
  • If any house finds any faults, the can reject the bill and ask for changes. The president too can refuse to sign the bill and may ask for changes, but the main power is with the two houses.
  • Also, the houses can propose a " No Confidence Motion " if they lose faith in the executive, which when passed can dissolve the current govt.

Hope it helps!!!
