Declaration of the rights of man give the citizen and the people the basic inalienable rights . These included the right to speech, right to live and many other rights ....

Despite the limited aims of the framers of the declaration, its principals(especially Article1) could be extended logically mean political and even social democracy. The declaration of the right of a man and citizen came to be, as was recognized by the nineteenth century historical Jules Michelet, "the credo of the new age".    I hope this answer helps u.......Be happy!!!!
