Muhammad Tuglaq:-

Muhammad Tuglaq belonged to the Tuglaq dynasty and was known for his bad descision making, he was a learned man but his descisions used to backfire on him

Some of his famous descision that backfired on him are:-

Taxation in doab:- Muhammad Tuglaq increased the land tax and other tax from 5 to 10%. during the famine people were not able to pay the taxes but the tax collectors collected it from the people mercilessly. people had to leave their homes and more. after seeing this he started a loan scheme so that they could flourish their business again but it failed.

Transfer of Capital:- Muhammad Tuglaq decided to transfer his capital from Delhi to devagiri as it was located in middle of India and was a good spot for protection from enemies but it was 1500km away. people were tortured to go there but later they started dying of intense fatigue. after he realizes his mistake he decides

to go back Delhi.

Forged coins:- He introduced copper and bronze coins as it had same function as of gold and silver coins. peopl used this opportunity to forge the coins. later all gold and silver coins disappeared and state treasury became empty
