The difference between lifting weight by hand and lifting up of made by using a pulley is as follows -

• The main difference is,we need less amount of effort while lifting the weight by a pulley system as compared with lifting the weight by our bare hands.

• This happens, because when we lift the weight by our hands, the complete weight of the object has to be tolerated by our hands.

• On the other hand, when we lift the object by a pulley system, some of the weight of the object is equally distributed over the rope of the pulley system,as the form of tension of the rope.

• In this way,we need less amount of effort for lifting the weight by a pulley system.
