What was the difference between protection of forests by the tribal people and by the Forest Department?

Tribals focus on sustaining the natural environment of the forest by maintaining the natural order of things that have taken place since time immemorial.

They want to maintain a balance between agriculture, cutting of trees for wood, hunting for food with the growth of new trees and animal proliferation.

The government on the other hand wants to displace the tribes and compete isolate the forest from any degrading influence, and fail to include the tribes as an integrated part of the forest ecosystem.
