Indian commission was formed in the year 1953 by Fajal Ali and pv. pannikar . The main aim of forming it was to reorganize the state boundaries of India.

The direct affect of it was the rising of different views regarding the formation of state boundaries on the basis of language or religion.

And accordingly after the Indian commission the Indian commission Act was passed in 1956 that formed 14 states and six union territories.
