The tripartite struggle of northern India took place in 9th century.The struggle was between the pratihara empire,the pala empire and the rashtrakuta empire .Towards t successor of nagabhata ll ,successfully attacked kanauj and established control there.

Tripartite strugglestruggle is the term used to define the wars and struggles between Gurjara-Pratiharas , Palas and the Rashtrakutas in order to get the control over mighty city known as Kannuj during the medieval Indian era.
