Answer:

The main causes for the decline of Ahom kingdom were the internal clash among the royal dignitaries of Ahom, rise of Vaishnavism, clash between Ahim king and the Moran people living in region of upper Assam and Ahom Paik System.

Explanation:

Ahom ruled the north eastern part of India which is modern day Assam.

The Moamoria Rebellion lasted for 36 years from 1769 to 1805 was considered as the conflict between Moran and Ahom Kings.

The traditional Paik system of abled soldiers who adapt the dynamic change in social and economic aspiration failed.

The Vaishnava Sattaras began to appeal masses and propagated egalitarian ethos. This resulted in rise of Shaktism under Rudhra Sen.

Due to weak state machinery and crippled administration, the kingdom got devastated.
