In the story, the narrator says that as she walked down the passage or hallway, she noticed the Hannukah candle-holder that hung right next to the mirror. She also noticed cutlery set, the old table cloth and the plates.

The first familiar thing that the narrator sat at mrs dorling house during her second visit  she was welcomed by a 15 year old daughter and as she entered the living room she saw all the belongings of her mother in a srange atmoshphere and arranged tastelessly. The girl when offer the narrator a cup of tea and told her they have been using all these antique plates ,crokery and cutlery. The author recognise that the things they have been using now were valuable those days which they are using ordinarily.

The statement is from the lesson "The Addresss" written by Margo minco and in this story she wrote her own experiences, emotions and pain as she visit her home after a long year later after a war to collect the belongings of her mother.

She visited the address given by her mother to collect the belongings of her mother memories and by the way Mrs dorling deny to know her so she decided to visit again and in her second visit she saw all belongings of her mother arrange in a tasteless manner also those valuable antiques paltes crokery and cutlery they have been using had enoromous value those days even now for the author. As she saw all those things in a strange situtaion in such a manner she leave the house with pain and lot of emotion as those things lost its value as soon as her mother stop taking caring those now taken them to home only upset her and she left the house.
