Quit India Movement:-
• Quit India movement started on 9 August 1942 at the time of Second World War.
• After the failure of the Cripps Mission, Bapu decided to launch a third major movement against British rule.
• On the evening of August 8, 1942, the slogan of Quit British India was given in Bombay session of All India Congress Committee in Mumbai.
• They were immediately arrested, but youth activists from across the country continued to agitate through strikes and sabotage.
Champaran Movement:-
• It was the first Satyagraha in Champaran, Bihar in 1917-18 under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi in India. It is known as Champaran Satyagraha.
• At that time, thousands of landless laborers and poor farmers were being forced by the British and they pitched landlords to cultivate indigo and other cash crops instead of food grains.
• Against the teror of the British, Gandhi reached the Champaran at that time and organized this movement.
• He led protests and strikes against the landlords at that time. Then thousands of farmers gathered in his support.
Salt Satyagraha (Dandi March):-
• The Salt Satyagraha was one of the major movements launched by Gandhiji. It is also known as Dandi March.
• On 12 March 1930, Bapu took a march for 24 days from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi village against the monopoly of the Salt British Raj.
• At that time, the British had established their monopoly on things like tea, cloth and even salt.
