What was the happiest moment of your life?

Two days ago I had a moment to live for. I’ll share it because it makes me smile and I need to do more of that. Also, all of my answers are sad. We need to change that.

It was dark. My best friends Alan, Anna, and Allie and I were sprawled on the floor of my Anna’s house. The lights were out and we were gazing up at the twinkly glow in the dark stars she had pasted on her ceiling.

Alex was the only boy out of us three girls. We had just spent the whole day at San Francisco together. They were semi-aware of my family situation and brought me to SF without my parents. Afterwards, we went swimming at Anna’s house and I had loads of fun.

We were giggling. The twinkly stars were so bright. Then, all of a sudden, Allie started singing “One Day More” from Les Miserable. We all joined in, even Alex, who voice-cracked the entire time.

Then, they started teasing me about my “Crush.” They honestly have no idea I don’t like him anymore.

“Janice! You DO like him!!” Anna yelled. I threw a pillow at her.

“Dude, you’re blushing!!” Alex giggled, like a girl. (Btw, my face was sunburned. I don’t blush.)

It escalated into a full on pillow fight. I don’t know if I’d ever had that much fun in such a long time.

It may no seem like much but that moment I’ll remember forever.
