Immediate Consequences of revolution 1792 is ... In April 1792, king Louis XV1 declared war on both Austria and Prussia, however was forced to do so by the Legislative Assembly. The Duke of Brunswick from Prussia then issued the Brunswick Manifesto, stating that if the people of Paris were to harm the king or his family in any way, then they would be subject to dire consequences. The National Convention however voted to do the opposite. They executed King Louis XVI on the 21st of January, 1793, and brought an end to more than 1000 years of nonstop French monarchy. The National Convention later created a new republican constitution on September 22nd 1792, known as the ‘First Republic’. France was now officially known as a republican country.
