William Jennings Bryan, the
US Secretary of State resigned in June 1915 because he did not agree with the
way Woodrow Wilson dealt with German submarine sinking of the Lusitania. He
could not come to terms with the way how Wilson dealt with various instances
such as the actions he planned on Germany. He knew that this would cause the
United States to get involved in World War I. Because of this, he resigned from
his post on June 09, 1915.
