Impact of Indian mathematics in Today's World:

1.Concept of Zero:With the invention of zero Indian mathematics had made the first contributions in the field of algebra, trigonometry, Arithmetic and negative numbers.

2.Concept of Number system: for example number such as 465 can be written as 4×10²+6×10+5×10⁰ here the, each number can be represented as in the power of 10 rather than set of symbols.Representing the numbers in the form of powers of 10 played an important role in the decimal place value system in India.

3.Rules for negative numbers: In the ancient period Brahmagupta had given the concept of negative numbers. He termed negative numbers as 'debt' and positive numbers as ' fortune'. He said when we subtract fortune from zero the result would be 'debt' e.g., 0-5= -5 [negative ] and when we subtract a debt from zero the resultant would be fortunate eg.,=>0-(-5)= 5[positive].

It is same as the concept plus minus = minus and minus minus=plus [but signs of minus]. The product of debt and debt will always be a fortune.

means positive.
