What was the impact of regulation of trade in forest products by the British Government in India?

The British government gave many large European trading form the sole right to trade in the forest products of particular areas. grazing and hunting by local people were restricted in the process many pastoral and nomadic.
were forced to work instead in factories, mines and plantations under government supervision ....

the british government prohibited  the local tribal people to live in forest .
the forests which had best kind of wood no tribal could collect firewood from that forest .
the tribals could only take fallen branches from the forest which had medium quality of wood 
and the were forced to live in the forest with low quality wood
