Laos, Cambodia, annam, coachin China etc are include in the area of Indo China. the French established their control over Indo China in 1886 AD and the French exploited all the resources of Indo China. France got raw material from Vietnam like coal, rice, rubber etc. they imposed having taxes on the local people but the wages of labour were very low. then Communist Party was established in Vietnam by Ho chi minh and started freedom movement in Indo-China. but this freedom movement and national rebellion of 1938 A.D. was crushed by France. Japan occupied it in 1945 a.d. at this moment he was captured by Ho Chi minh and he declared the freedom of indochina. he gave a new name of Vietnam to Indo-China and become the first president of the Republic of Vietnam. French tired hard to regain control over Vietnam but was unable to do so. but Geneva convention of 1954 a.d. has forced French to leave Vietnam but it gave freedom to southin Indo-China before its withdrawal. in this way Hola Indo China was divided into North Vietnam and South Vietnam.
